SOAPMAKING CLASSES


Beginning Soapmaking (Adults or Children with Adult Supervision)

Students will learn how to make melt-and-pour glycerin soap. Topics include safety, equipment, soap additives and colorants, and packaging. Each pair of students will have full access to a wide range of materials and supplies, and take home one pound (approx. 4 bars) of soap. Extra materials available for sale from the instructor.


Advanced Soapmaking (Adults Only)

This course will cover the basic tenets of advanced soapmaking using the cold process method. It is planned as a 3-hour, non-credit course that is part lecture, part demonstration. Class hours extended to give students access to supplies and equipment. Nominal materials fee.
